Vorwerk Podemus began in a Coutyard type farm in a suburb of Dresden in the 18th century, changing to an organic operation in 1991.
Setting its standards rigorously above the normal organic compliance requirements, the company prides itself on its 200 hectare (494 acres) land for its cows, pigs, and chickens, attended to by skilled hands.
